We don’t just work with brands — we invest in the next generation of creative thinkers, doers, and disrupters too. It’s our small way of opening doors and giving a leg up to those who might not get the chance otherwise.
Sean Murray is a active mentor of the Creative Mentor Network (CMN) in partnership with Soho House. Together, they open up the creative industries to brilliant young talent from underrepresented backgrounds — helping them navigate their first steps into a world that can feel closed off or out of reach.
Underrepresentation is still rife: just 12% of people working in the UK’s creative industries come from lower socio-economic backgrounds, despite making up around 44% of the wider population, and those from affluent backgrounds are twice as likely to work in the sector (Source: Creative Mentor Network / We Are Creative UK).
The goal? Make the creative world fairer, more accessible, and more interesting for everyone. And here’s the unexpected bit: we learn as much from our mentees as they do from us.
As an agency, mentoring is stitched into how we work. We’re a small team, but we back fresh talent wherever we can — like the fearless Agard Forever crew — who are busy breaking rules they didn’t even know existed (which is exactly how it should be). And when the risks get a bit too close for comfort? We’re right there to steady the pace, so they can keep pushing boundaries — safely.
Because for us, mentoring isn’t about shaping people into our image. It’s about giving them the confidence, networks, and gentle nudges they need to shake things up in ways we’d never think of.
The future of creativity is theirs. We’re just here to help them unlock doors they didn’t even know existed.
With decades of retail and brand experience, Sean is passionate about opening doors that might otherwise stay firmly shut — and giving young creatives the confidence to kick a few open themselves. Having benefited from exceptional mentors throughout his own career, Sean is deeply committed to paying it forward and helping the next generation thrive.
