BigDL – Local Coupon App Marketing

The challenge

IAT – an innovative digital developer for retail wanted to launch their hyper local coupon app, BigDL, as a pilot with a number of UK retailers. Our challenge was to:

  • Create an identity and visual language for BigDL
  • Help BigDL engage with retailers to secure trials and gain commitment to multi-channel communication to the retailers’ customers
  • Create the marketing materials to promote BigDL to the retailer’s customers

What we did

  • Researched the name and created the logo, brand identity and visual language
  • Curated and created customer insights via focus groups to demonstrate the customer want and need

  • Created retail minded B2B introduction materials
  • Produced store engagement packs for store managers and sales/retail teams to explain how BigDL works for them and their customers
  • Produced point-of-sale materials to advertise BigDL in store – posters, counter mats, shelf edge and leaflets

The result

  • Successful pilot launch of BigDL in multiple stores to test differing marketing messages. Pilot retailers included Londis and The Co-op group
